You will directly and indirectly impact all corners of the product and our customersâ experiences by way of deep engagement with our users and close collaboration with the broader design, product, and engineering teams. You will run and evolve our design metrics program and build out our continuous discovery research practice, contributing to the expansion and evangelization of research at Loopio. You will define, plan, and execute generative research for our Product mission teams. As Research Lead, you will be responsible for guiding and mentoring additional individual contributors and supporting research needs across our Product organization.
As the most senior research practitioner, you will also coach Product Designers and Product Managers to refine and deepen their evaluative and generative research practices and methodologies.
What You'll Be Doing
- Partner with our Director of Product Design and Research and Design & Research Leadership team to continue refining and building out Loopioâs Research practice. Youâll bring the value of research to life through programs, initiatives, and projects that might be needed to meet our organizationâs goals.
- Partner with PM, Design and business stakeholders to identify and shape new opportunities for product growth via generative and evaluative research (with a focus on generative)
- Hire and manage a growing team of researchers, which youâll be able to shape over time based on business and product needs
- Build and refine programs â design metrics and continuous discovery â to add rigour to our process, generating insights, and shepherding those insights into actionable work for our mission teamsÂ
- Own the scoping, planning and leading of complex generative research projects, including recruitment, data collection, analysis, synthesis, reporting, and presenting
- Independently partner with business stakeholders to navigate ambiguity, map out research requirements, and co-create timelines to enable your team to engage with meaningful insights so that they can deliver high-quality solutions.
- Provide coaching and mentorship in research, analysis, communication, and other integral research skills
- Foster knowledge sharing across teams by synthesizing and sharing research in impactful ways, helping teams refer back to formative and summative insights over time
- Be a champion of the UX research discipline, influencing our partners on its value, the impact itâs had in design and product decisions.
- Support the creation of Business Intelligence dashboards and regular reporting to bring a quantitative lens to our data-driven Product decision-making process.Â

Where Youâll Work đ
- Loopio is a remote-first workplace because we recognize the advantages of working flexibly. We are HQâd in Canada, with established hub regions around the world where we hire from.
- Our employees (or Loopers, as we call ourselves!) live and work in đšđŠ Canada (British Columbia and Ontario), đŹđ§ London, and đźđł India (specifically in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Bengaluru).
- The majority of our team is based in ON and BC, which means these employees live and work remotely within a 300km radius of Toronto (within Ontario) and Vancouver (Within BC).Â
- We offer flexible co-working locations available to Loopers in ON and BC. Those based in ON have the option of working out of our convenient co-working space located in the heart of Downtown Toronto and a 12-minute walk from Union Station. BC Loopers have the option to work centrally in Vancouver. It is whatever works best for you!
- Youâll collaborate with your teams virtually across the UK, India, and North America (weâre just a Zoom call and Slack message away!) with core sync hours and focus time for headsdown work đđŸ during the workday
