POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Renewals Specialist participates in a virtual account team-selling environment working closely with their assigned business unit’s sales team to drive existing renewal opportunities. In this capacity, the RS will assume the ownership role for their assigned renewal opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Opportunity Management
- Proactively engage with assigned customers to ensure timely renewals.
- Understand customer’s business use case and based on that information, effectively communicate licensing options that will expand Minitab’s footprint in the account and the increase customer spend.
- Maintain an accurate and timely pipeline of all renewal opportunities within the CRM system with full adherence to the CRM opportunity guidelines.
- Provide Minitab sales management with accurate and timely sales forecasts within the CRM system to ensure proper visibility for effective resource planning and expense management within Minitab.
- Effectively transition to appropriate sales team members qualified upsell, cross-sell, and service opportunities via CRM.
Account Management
- Maintain and enhance key information of all key assigned renewal opportunities and their related account information, including their business profile, key decision makers, competitive landscape, buying processes and compelling events.
- Within each account, during the renewal opportunity sales cycle, seek to expand and strengthen Minitab’s presence by identifying and establishing relationships with the actual end users beyond the license coordinators and procurement.
Experience:
C
ollege graduates with business/marketing/information technology degrees is a plus. 1+ years of customer facing previous job roles is preferred. Fluency in English and German is required, both written and verbal.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Associate College/technical degree required.
