The opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Java engineer with experience in building APIs and integrating with Temenos / T24. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems that power our comprehensive banking solutions.
What you’ll be doing primarily:
- Design, develop, and maintain services and APIs that support our platform.
- Implement features that enhance the functionality and user experience of our core banking solutions.
- Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of our systems.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Deploy, monitor, and manage services using cloud platforms like AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and contribute to best practices.
Required qualifications:
- 8+ years Java software development experience
- 5+ years of building APIs
- BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Familiarity with the Temenos / T24 transaction processing engine
- Strong understanding of relational (preferably Microsoft SQL) and/or non-relational databases (e.g. Jbase).
- Experience in a production support environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of test frameworks.
- Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.
- Knowledge of security best practices, especially in the context of financial systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Fluent written and oral English skills.
Bonus if you have:
- Experience in the Fintech or banking industry.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in integrating APIs from other services providers.
- Open source project contributions of any kind, such as tools developed to solve specific problems you’ve had or fixing issues on existing projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
