ABOUT THE POSITION
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Materials Specialistis responsible for ensuring all materialsneeded on site are efficientlymaintained& meet stated standards.
Responsibilities
- Materials management into location
- Check for quality assurance on materials and submit quality reports
- Pack and organize materials for manufacturing floor
- Track materials requests and make recommendations to leadership based on business needs
- Perform Physical Inventory checks as needed
- Confirm and update correct inventory
- Work with internal and external partners for materials in facility
- Daily site checks to maintain a well-organized area
- Update Production / Repairs / Maintenance area safety logs
- Follow safe practices related to the use and operation of equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years old
- Experience in luggage/garment manufacturing preferred
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jack with training.
- Experience using a PC
- Basic math skills
- Detail oriented
- Safety oriented
- Ability to follow instructions, be a team player, and have a willingness to learn new things
- Ability to communicate and understand English -- Multi-Lingual in Cantonese, Vietnamese or Mandarin a plus
