The Job


This role will be based and Singapore and focus on developing high-value polymer products using our regenerated materials. You will lead the transformation of regenerated polymers into new formulations and derivative products. In collaboration with partners in Asia and globally, you’ll drive product development, manage contract manufacturing, and spearhead commercialization efforts. 

Responsibilities


Downstream Product Development  - Develop formulations from Ambercycle’s polymers for diverse applications.  - Collaborate with R&D teams and partners to refine properties and ensure market-ready performance. Commercialization & Go-to-Market  - Oversee the path from concept to launch, including validation and post-launch evaluation.  - Create business cases, cost models, and commercial proposals. Contract Manufacturing & Supply Chain  - Identify and manage manufacturing partners across Asia.  - Implement supply chain strategies to ensure quality and cost efficiency. Technical & Quality Assurance  - Lead pilot-scale and commercial-scale trials to confirm feasibility and regulatory compliance.  - Ensure products meet relevant standards in Asian markets. Collaboration & Representation  - Work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders (brands, suppliers, manufacturers).  - Represent Ambercycle at industry events and customer meetings. Project & Stakeholder Management  - Manage multiple product development projects, aligning with business objectives.  - Foster strong partnerships to support joint development initiatives. Market & Competitive Analysis  - Track industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies.  - Identify and propose new product opportunities to expand Ambercycle’s portfolio. 

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or related field. 
  • 15+ years in product development, commercialization, or manufacturing of polymers or related materials. 
  • Proven success with contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs), taking products from concept to market. 
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, primarily within Asia. 

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience in Asia preferred; China exposure is a plus. 
  • Strong understanding of polymer science, processes, and applications. 
  • Familiarity with quality control and regulatory standards in Asian markets. 
  • Proven track record in scaling from pilot to commercial production. 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation. 
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and influence diverse stakeholders. 
  • Highly organized, self-driven, and adept at multitasking in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Fluency in English; other Asian languages are advantageous.
