Smartbridge is a Houston-based technology consulting firm specializing in digital transformation for the Life Sciences industry. We partner with pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies to implement cutting-edge data, automation, and modernization solutions.To expand our impact, we are looking for an experienced, results-driven Senior Client Partner to lead new business development within the Life Sciences sector. This is a hunter role focused on acquiring net new clients and revenue growth through consulting services (not products).

Key Responsibilities



Life Sciences-Focused Sales Strategy & Business Development


  • Develop and execute a Life Sciences industry sales strategy, aligning with Smartbridge’s consulting services.
  • Identify and cultivate new Life Sciences clients, building strong relationships with business and technology decision-makers.
  • Leverage existing industry networks to drive introductions and opportunities.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closing.


Consultative Sales Approach


  • Partner with pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies to understand their business challenges and technology needs.
  • Sell technology consulting services in areas such as data & analytics, AI/ML, intelligent automation, cloud modernization, and regulatory compliance solutions.
  • Educate Life Sciences executives on how Smartbridge’s services can optimize operations, enhance R&D, and accelerate regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with Smartbridge practice leaders to create proposals, respond to RFPs, and customize solutions.


Revenue Growth & Sales Execution


  • Generate and close $3+ million in net new services revenue annually.
  • Work closely with Smartbridge’s technology partners (e.g., Microsoft, UiPath, Salesforce) to identify joint opportunities in the Life Sciences space.
  • Track all sales activities in CRM, providing weekly reports and pipeline updates to Smartbridge leadership.
  • Travel as needed to attend Life Sciences industry events, client meetings, and partner activities.

Required Qualifications


✔5+ years of sales experience in the Life Sciences industry, with a focus on technology consulting or digital transformation services.✔ Proven ability to sell services, not products, in highly consultative, solution-based sales cycles.✔ Experience managing

enterprise-level relationships with pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device executives (CXOs, CTOs, CIOs, or technology decision-makers).


✔ Strong understanding of regulatory compliance (FDA, GxP, HIPAA), data-driven R&D, automation, and cloud-based modernization in Life Sciences.✔ Demonstrated success in generating $3M+ in new services sales revenue annually.✔ Outstanding verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications


⭐ Existing relationships within major pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies.⭐ Experience working with Microsoft, UiPath, Salesforce, or cloud-based Life Sciences solutions.⭐ Understanding of AI-driven automation, clinical data analytics, and Life Sciences digital transformation strategies.
