The Challenge


Urbantz is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Operations Specialist to drive our HR and payroll operations in a fast-paced, scale-up environment. This role is crucial in enhancing our employee experience and ensuring our HR practices support growth and innovation. The HR Operations Specialist will align business objectives with employees and management, serving as a key advisor on all HR-related matters.

  • Talent Acquisition
  • Coordinate the recruitment process in collaboration with hiring managers, including conducting HR screening interviews.
  • Engage in employer branding initiatives to attract top talents.
  • HR Operations & Compliance
  • Oversee efficient HR operations, including payroll and compensation processes.
  • Partner with legal advisors to ensure HR policies are up-to-date, compliant with local and international laws and scalable.
  • Perform financial analyses to optimize compensation packages.
  • Employee Experience & Culture
  • Coordinate the onboarding process to ensure new hires integrate seamlessly and feel connected from day one.
  • Develop and implement training programs that support employee development and readiness for scaling challenges.
  • Foster a dynamic company culture by planning and supporting various events and gatherings. As a primarily remote company, coordinate regular on-site and off-site meetings to enhance team engagement and connection.
  • Strategic Partner
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute HR strategies that align with our growth and business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and leaders, providing insights and solutions for HR challenges and opportunities.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement
  • Proactively recommend new HR initiatives and policies that support business growth and enhance employee engagement.
  • Embrace new responsibilities and projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility in a rapidly changing environment.

Experience & Qualification


  • Fluent in French and English, with excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of working experience in HR.
  • Strong understanding of HR operations, payroll, and compliance.
  • Excellent organizational and self-management skills; You are autonomous and hands-on to find answers and solutions.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage projects efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Tech-savvy; experience with the Google suite.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and willing to take on new challenges as the company grows
