What is the QA Automation Managerrole?
Biofourmis is looking for QA Automation Manager (Full-Time hybrid position) to join our rapidly growing team. This is an incredible role for someone looking to get into one of the most exciting companies in healthcare technology, with a strong mission that has quantifiable improvements on patients' outcomes! You will be responsible for leading and overseeing the automation testing strategy, frameworks, and execution within the Quality Assurance (QA) team. This role focuses on improving efficiency, scalability, and reliability of testing by implementing automation solutions, integrating with CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring high software quality.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the QA team to deliver high-quality software through effective test strategies, test planning, and execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate testing and automation throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts.
- Ensure the automation framework is scalable and adaptable to future project needs.
- Oversee the continuous improvement of testing processes and practices.
- Manage the execution of test cycles, report defects, and ensure thorough documentation of test results.
- Provide timely and insightful feedback to development teams on quality issues and risks.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure that quality standards and regulatory requirements are met.
- Monitor and manage the effectiveness of test environments and automation frameworks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Automation Frameworks & Tools: Experience with Selenium, Cypress, Appium, TestNG or similar.
- Programming/Scripting Languages: Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript.
- CI/CD Integration: Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps.
- API Testing & Automation: Knowledge of tools like Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI for API automation.
- Performance Testing: Hands-on experience with JMeter.
- Cloud & Containerization: Experience with AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes is beneficial.
Technologies Required:
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies (Agile, DevOps).
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (BDD, Spring boot) and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress, Appium(Android/ios), RestAssured).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub, Azure DevOps).
- Experience with performance testing using JMeter.
- Familiarity with AIOps (hands-on experience is a plus).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of observability and containerization technologies (e.g., Grafana, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with Git and Linux commands.
- Understanding of relevant industry regulations (e.g., FDA, SOC 2).
- Debugging skills using tools like Charles Proxy and Android Studio.
Bonus Points for:
- Work experience in the healthcare space and familiarity with HIPAA regulations (at least, as it pertains to ingestion, processing, storage and serving of patient data)
- Understanding of security concepts.
