Job Objective:
Monitors, maintains, and controls the safe, healthy and environmentally sound operations of the gas/oil pipelines and associated facilities.

Essential Job Responsibilities:


  • Oversees the daily operation of pipeline and facilities to ensure they function safely and efficiently.  Monitors pressure, flow rates and other parameters in coordination with the control room.
  • Conducts regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues before they lead to operational disruptions. Report findings and take appropriate actions as needed.
  • Performs routine maintenance on equipment and machinery. Identify and troubleshoot operational issues, adjusting or making repairs as necessary to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Works closely with other operators, maintenance personnel, and management to ensure smooth operations. Communicate effectively to report conditions, incidents, or any issues.
  • Participates in operational projects, including new installations, upgrades, and decommissioning activities. Provide operational insights and support project planning and execution.
  • Assists in measurement tasks associated with the pipeline, ensure accurately recorded data, and submit reports.
  • Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
  • Adheres to all company policies and regulatory requirements regarding safety and environmental compliance. Participate in safety meetings, safety programs and training sessions.
  • Adheres to the company’s values – integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.
  • Supports company vision and mission.

Other Job Responsibilities:


  • Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Adhere to a reasonable geographical location to assigned system.

Qualifications:


  • One (1) to three (3) years minimum pipeline experience with a combination of Gas and Liquid pipeline operations.
  • Ability to accurately solve problems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
  • Ability to perform work assignments with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
  • Ability to accurately perform tasks.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with different truck groups that transport product.
  • Proficiency in the use and application of the following software: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook).
  • Ability to make independent, rational decisions, as required.
  • Ability to maintain the integrity of the asset facilities.
  • Ability to work alone and highly motivated.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle in and around process areas. Ability to consider safety in all decisions.
  • Self-starter, team player, and comfortable working under pressure.

Education Requirements:


  • Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
