Managed Services Engineer

Complete Network seeks a highly skilled and experienced Managed Services Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will provide escalated technical support, resolve complex issues, and contribute significantly to our company's success. You will also play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing our internal IT infrastructure. We seek a motivated and results-oriented individual with an entrepreneurial attitude, a strong understanding of modern IT infrastructure, and a passion for providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve complex client issues across various technologies, including servers, networks, databases, applications, and cloud environments.
  • Provide timely and effective technical support to clients, ensuring their systems run smoothly and meet their business needs.
  • Create, implement, monitor, and troubleshoot client backup and recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity and successful restoration procedures.
  • Maintain and enhance critical internal IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, applications, and systems.
  • Proactively monitor and maintain critical client infrastructure, including servers, networks, applications, and systems.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, industry best practices, and security threats.
  • Contribute to developing and implementing automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Create, maintain, and update technical documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a Managed Services environment.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Windows Server administration: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, IIS, etc.
  • Networking: TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs.
  • Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V.
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP (intermediate to advanced level).
  • Scripting and Automation: PowerShell (advanced scripting), Python, Rewst.
  • Backup and recovery principles, including data protection strategies, backup methodologies, and disaster recovery planning. Experience with Veeam or similar solutions is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with colleagues across departments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SIEM tools.
  • ConnectWise Automate and Manage experience is a plus
  • Relevant industry certifications: (e.g., CompTIA+, Network+, Security+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
  • Experience with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
