Fastest Growing Companies in America, the Department of Labor HireVets Platinum Medallion award, and the Washington Business Journal, Inc. 5000, and Baltimore Sun’s Best Places to Work awards.Description:CRG is seeking a part-time Senior Trainer to co-facilitate a training course for the Department of State (DOS), Managing Program Evaluations, which will be offered both virtually and in-person. Managing Program Evaluations (MPE) is a 4-day course designed to provide evaluation managers at the Department with the knowledge and skills to effectively carry out the planning, management, and application of evaluations according to DOS policy and best practices.

In addition, students will be guided through the development of a Statement of Work (SOW) for Department evaluations and will understand their roles and responsibilities in the implementation of evaluations versus that of the evaluation team.Job Duties:

  • Collaborate with CRG and subcontractor staff to prepare course materials for delivery and to facilitate the virtual and in-person deliveries of the MPE course.
  • Master relevant DOS policy and guidance regarding evaluations as well as course materials for effective facilitation of the courses including lecture, course activities, participant questions, and other tasks related to the maintenance and delivery of the courses.
  • Apply knowledge of the various levels of adult learning and break technical and at-times complicated information into distinct, hands-on modules that achieve identified and desired learning objectives.
  • Contribute to the improvement of training modules based on participant and client feedback.
  • Design, lead or co-lead interactive and hands-on modules whether training is delivered in-person or via online platforms.
  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that foster core values.
  • Must maintain a neutral stance concerning any political or diplomatic topics.
  • Handle all directives with candor and professionalism on the phone and in person.

Qualifications:

  • Possess 5+ years of experience in program evaluations and/or applied social science research.
  • Have demonstrated experience as a trainer and/or facilitator.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a suitable security clearance and DoS badge; ideal candidates will already possess a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) clearance or higher.
  • Proficiency in the use of file-sharing, word processing software, spreadsheets, databases, and other digital project management tools.
  • Preferred:
  • Evaluation and/or training experience with the Department of State
  • Proficiency in the use of Google Suite, Zoom, Microsoft 365, various educational technology tools (Zoom polls, Kahoot trivia, virtual whiteboards, etc.).
