Job Description: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer with expertise in WordPress to join our dynamic team. As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing websites using WordPress. You will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development, including architecture, themes / UI, and integrations (APIs, 3-parties, libraries). 

• Create widgets, plugins, and additional sections for an existing website.
• Design and build the website/widget front-end.
• Design and manage the website back-end including database and server integration.
• Integrate the site with Third-party services and libraries.
• Create custom backend capabilities by using PHP/Laravel and MySQL as well as integrations with AWS resources.
• Create the website/widget architecture for both the front-end and back-end.
• Using WordPress themes and plugins.
• Conducting website performance tests.
• Troubleshooting issues. 

Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years in web development, with strong expertise in WordPress and PHP.
• Proven ability to build and maintain applications in the Laravel framework.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with modern libraries or frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React).
• Advanced knowledge of MySQL, including query optimization and database design.
• Commitment to producing clean, well-documented, and error-free code.
• Strong track record of meeting deadlines without compromising quality.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
• Knowledge of web security principles and best practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Soft skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail. 
• Strong time management skills and ability to balance team and individual responsibilities.

Bonus skills: 

• Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Pantheon for hosting and infrastructure.
• Experience with eCommerce platforms like WooCommerce.
• Knowledge of server management, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
• Experience with performance optimization techniques (e.g., caching, lazy loading).
• Understanding of Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
