You will report to the Senior Manager of Sales Development and work alongside Account Executives, Field Marketers, partners, and partner team. The role will entail a strategic mindset using your sales EQ to drive out-of-the-box prospecting ideas and engage with new executive personas at highly targeted Federal and State customers. Your actions will be creative, thoughtful, and impactful as you collaborate with the team to design and execute outbound efforts.

By using your willingness to roll up your sleeves and do the work, you will help the team succeed in acquiring new and growing existing customers.

Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute outbound prospecting strategies targeting Federal and State agencies by leveraging creative, out-of-the-box approaches to engage executive personas.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives, Field Marketers, and partners to identify opportunities and ensure alignment in sales efforts for the public sector.
  • Consistently meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly activity targets, including cold calls, emails, and meetings scheduled.
  • Stay informed about government contracts, procurement processes, and regulatory requirements, adapting outreach strategies to align with the public sector's unique needs and timelines.
  • Implement various campaign tactics, including email outreach, content creation, direct mail, social media engagement, webinars, and more, to creatively drive pipeline and revenue growth.
  • Support and manage multiple sales campaigns simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and effective communication with internal teams.
  • Utilize CRM tools to accurately document interactions, track progress, and maintain a clean and up-to-date pipeline.

Qualifications


  • Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Business, Government Affairs, or a related field, with at least 1 year of relevant work experience in the public sector.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling, tailored messaging and value propositions for Federal and State executives.
  • Curiosity and a strong willingness to learn, particularly in government procurement processes and AI/automation technologies.
  • Highly motivated, driven, and goal-oriented, with the ability to self-start and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
  • Creative problem-solver with a “find a way” mindset, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex organizational structures within Federal and State agencies.
  • Strong multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple outreach campaigns and engaging with various internal and external stakeholders daily.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with Account Executives, marketers, partners, and cross-functional teams in the public sector space.
  • Results-driven focus, ensuring efforts contribute to measurable outcomes like lead generation, pipeline development, and ROI for the public sector.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Salesforce, ChatGPT, GovSpend, and other tools used for government market intelligence and customer relationship management.

The target OTE compensation range for this role: $80,000 - $100,000.  Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individuals skills, experience, qualifications, geographical location, and our business needs and objectives.  Our overall compensation packages include base salary, equity and the benefits and perks listed below.
