The Quality Auditor will be responsible for quality audits including incoming inspections, in-process operations audits, final product audits, and part label dock audits. This position will report to the Quality Assurance Manager and is based at our Components location in Beatrice, Nebraska. Job Description: Quality Auditor


Key Responsibilities


  • Audit individual operations (set-up, gauges, etc.) to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Inspect parts in progress to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Inspect assembled product to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Use various gauges and measuring devices to ensure specification compliance.
  • Inspect incoming materials, using a variety of tests, to verify compliance to specifications. 
  • Recommend corrections to operations as the situation requires.
  • Maintain necessary records in an accurate and precise manner.
  • Inspect gauges and measuring devices to ensure their accuracy.
  • Assist and train new quality control personnel.
  • Conduct dock, process and product audits.
  • Perform I.S.I.R. documentation for customers on new products.
  • Identify and recommend cost-savings opportunities.
  • Perform measurement system analysis (MSA). 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Rotate tasks within the assigned work group.
  • Work extra hours to maintain production needs, as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills


  • Position requires a strong computer and mathematical background and excellent written and oral communications skills.  
  • Must have the ability to read and understand blue print specifications and accurately operate gauges and measuring devices.  
  • Requires excellent judgement in determining conformance to specifications.   
  • Must be able to make recommendations and support them logically and factually.  
  • Must work effectively with others, including management, production associates and technical personnel.  

Education


  • High school diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience in quality field.  
  • Vocational training preferred.  
  • Six to twelve months experience in industrial quality control environment or post-high school training (Machine shop or equivalent technical school).  
  • Requirement may be met through specific job experience, technical training, or a combination of the two.
