Account Executive - Enterprise Sales


This role is open to candidates in the Greater Corpus Christi and Victoria, TX area. 

Role Summary 


As an Account Executive at FiberLight, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and managing high-value customer relationships. Your primary focus will be selling fiber-based network solutions, including lit and dark fiber services, Ethernet, DIA, and private networking to businesses that require reliable, low-latency, and high-speed connectivity. You will be responsible for prospecting, consultative selling, and account management, ensuring clients receive tailored solutions that align with their business and operational needs. 

Key Responsibilities 


  • Sales & Business Development
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities in enterprise, hyperscale, cloud, carrier, government, and data center markets
  • Sell FiberLight’s core services, including dark fiber infrastructure, metro and long-haul Ethernet, DIA, and wavelength solutions to high-priority clients
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to exceed revenue targets and drive long-term growth
  • Manage and grow a pipeline of enterprise and carrier accounts, ensuring consistent deal flow and sales execution
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Engage with C-level executives, IT leaders, and network engineers to assess their fiber connectivity needs
  • Conduct consultative meetings to analyze customer network challenges and position FiberLight’s fiber-based solutions effectively
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring exceptional customer service, ongoing support, and long-term account success
  • Solution Selling & Industry Expertise
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in fiber-optic infrastructure, including the benefits of dark fiber for long-term scalability, Ethernet for dedicated connectivity, and DIA for business-critical internet access
  • Stay up-to-date on networking technologies, industry trends, cloud connectivity needs, and competitive landscape
  • Work closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery and optimal network performance for clients
  • Reporting & Performance Metrics
  • Maintain accurate sales data in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and provide pipeline forecasts, deal tracking, and performance updates to leadership
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Telecommunications, or related field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in fiber-optic networks, telecommunications, data center connectivity, or cloud infrastructure
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas in high-value, consultative sales environments
  • Strong knowledge of fiber network architecture, Ethernet, wavelengths, and dark fiber solutions
  • Ability to manage complex sales cycles with enterprise, carrier, cloud, and government customers
  • Experience with CRM platforms, pipeline management, and sales forecasting
