Live events are back, and we are busier than ever! We are looking to add a Cash Application Specialist to Nth Degree’s corporate accounting team. As a Cash Application Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately processing and applying customer payments to their respective accounts receivable balances, ensuring timely reconciliation of cash receipts, maintaining accurate financial records, and resolving any discrepancies related to customer payments, all while adhering to company financial policies and compliance regulations. You will report directly to the Assistant Controller and be based out of Nth Degree’s corporate office in Duluth GA.
We do function in a hybrid capacity; typically, two days in the office, three days remote. Salary is $60,000-65,000
What You’ll Do:
- Applying incoming payments (electronic transfers, checks, credit card payments) to the correct customer accounts in a timely manner. Handle and record all forms of customer payments including lockbox, wire and ACH.
- Reconcile multiple merchant accounts, resolve discrepancies, and address any disputes and/or chargebacks.
- Regularly reviewing and reconciling customer accounts to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate balances.
- Accurately inputting payment details into accounting systems.
- Investigating and resolving payment discrepancies, including customer inquiries and billing issues.
- Generating reports on cash application activity, including outstanding receivables and aging analysis.
- Adhering to company policies and procedures related to financial reporting and compliance.
- Support in month-end closing activities and account reconciliation.
- Execute customer refunds in line with established procedures.
Who You Are:
- Strong knowledge of Excel Formulas
- Proficiency in Cash Applications, as the role requires the application of incoming funds to the correct customer accounts.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to handle cash application discrepancies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in using computer software and applications related to the job.
- Must have good time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and handle high volume transactions.
- Previous experience in accounts receivable or cash application roles a must
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, AS400 a plus
