We are seeking a dynamic Safety Administrator and Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring safety compliance while leading efforts to drive continuous improvement across all aspects of our business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Administration (20-30%)
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, programs, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Provide safety training, guidance, and support to employees across all departments.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, performing root cause analyses to develop and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with leadership to foster a strong safety culture across the organization.
Continuous Improvement (70-80%)
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as 5S and structured root cause countermeasure analysis.
- Drive formal Lean transformation initiatives, including the planning, execution, and follow-up of Kaizen events, to improve processes and enhance operational performance.
- Lead and facilitate Kaizen events to identify inefficiencies, implement targeted solutions, and foster team-driven improvements.
- Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for enhanced performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people (SQCDP).
- Develop and implement targeted solutions to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Work cross-functionally with teams to drive change, monitor results, and sustain improvements.
- Serve as a champion for innovation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in safety administration and/or continuous improvement roles, preferably in a fast-paced or operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Proven experience with continuous improvement tools and methodologies, including 5S, structured root cause analysis, and formal facilitation of Kaizen events.
- Demonstrated success in leading and facilitating Lean transformation initiatives.
- Lean or Six Sigma certification (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to inform improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage teams at all levels.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement frameworks (e.g., Black Belt).
- Experience working in manufacturing, logistics, transportation, or fueling industries.
- Proficiency in safety management software and data analysis tools.
Salary Range $90,000 to $100,000 plus Booster Equity
