Position Overview


As a General Production Supervisor, you will oversee and manage our manufacturing operations to ensure smooth and efficient production. With your expertise in production techniques and advanced machinery, you will drive operational excellence, manage shift schedules, and conduct quality checks to meet rigorous standards. You will work closely with a dedicated team, continuously improving processes and systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities


  • Supervise Production Operations: Oversee manufacturing processes and advanced production systems to ensure adherence to schedules, quality standards, and efficient equipment management
  • Shift Management: Coordinate and manage shift schedules to maintain optimal staffing levels and ensure seamless transitions
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure products meet company standards and regulatory requirements
  • Production Optimization: Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and output
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, and coordinate major repairs with maintenance staff
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all production processes comply with regulations and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment
  • Team Management: Motivate and lead production teams to achieve production goals and foster a positive work environment
  • Communication: Report production or equipment issues to management promptly and maintain effective communication with team members and supervisors

Required Qualifications


  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or production, with a strong background in team management and overseeing production processes
  • Proven supervisory skills, including staff management, task delegation, and handling personnel issues
  • Hands-on experience with production techniques and machinery
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures, regulatory compliance, and process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency
  • Experience working in the cannabis industry (Preferred)
  • Skills & Knowledge:
  • Cannabis Industry Knowledge: Understanding of cannabis cultivation, extraction, processing, and packaging
  • Equipment Operation: Expertise in operating production equipment such as extraction systems, mixing tanks, filling machines, and packaging lines
  • Knowledge of Process Flow: Understanding how various equipment and processes are interconnected in the production workflow
  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations governing the cannabis industry
  • Safety Protocols: Knowledge of safety procedures in cannabis production, including handling flammable solvents and chemical safety
  • Environmental Health & Safety (EHS): Understanding of waste management, ventilation systems, and odor control
  • Product Quality Standards: Knowledge of testing procedures for potency, purity, and contaminants
  • Inventory Control & Supply Chain: Expertise in inventory management, ERP systems, and supply chain processes

  • Staying Updated: Willingness to keep up with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes

Supervisory Responsibilities


  • Manage and supervise production systems operators

Work Environment


  • Exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and airborne particles
  • Regular use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including lab coats, gloves, masks, and goggles
  • Moderate to high noise levels, with ear protection required in certain areas

Physical Requirements


  • Continuously Requires: Communicating, operating computers, detecting visual stimuli, standing or walking for extended periods
  • Frequently Requires: Stooping, bending, and reaching
  • Occasionally Requires: Lifting up to 50 pounds, ascending/descending stairs
