Job Description


TheDirectorof Business Development is tasked with promoting the company’s forensic consulting services nationwide and leading a team to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen client relationships. This role demands strategic thinking, strong leadership, and collaboration with various internal teams. The Director will develop and execute business strategies, ensure team performance, and implement innovative marketing initiatives to meet company objectives.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


:

  • Directs work of sales team, focusing on performance coaching, mentorship, and creating an innovative and inclusive environment.

  • Coaches team of expert sales leaders, enhancing sales-related skills and tools to drive success.

  • Directs efforts to increase market share and cross-sell services within the existing client base, including Client Partner Accounts, independent adjusters, and regional insurance carriers.

  • Drives execution of corporate growth strategies, by developing business development strategies regionally. 

  • Develops best practices for team and sets goals for the overall territory management process to increase exposure and revenue.

  • Reports on data analytics of team activities, results, and plan completion, 

  • Motivates team members and provides clear direction and accountability.

  • Works with Client Partner teams to serve key clients, fostering long-term relationships and driving growth.

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships within the organization to execute territory strategies, facilitate education and events, and address customer service concerns.

  • Maximizes growth by collaborating with the Marketing Department to drive innovative marketing strategies and Continuing Education training opportunitiesto highlight our experts and service capabilities.

  • Timely completion and submission of non-Client Partner RFIs, RFPs, and contracts.

  • Ensure all activities are tracked within the CRM system and serve as the contact/account data owner for the assigned geography.

  • Stays up to date with office and company policies, procedures, and best practices, participating in ongoing training to ensure knowledge and skills remain current.

  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

Required Skills/Abilities/Experience:


  • 7+ years ofsales experience in the insurance industry.

  • 3+ years of leadership experience.

  • Demonstrates strong presentation skills with a proven record of accomplishment of delivering effective and engaging presentations to diverse audiences.

  • Advanced skills in analyzing, interpreting, synthesizing, prioritizing, and reporting pertinent information.

  • Ability to support and enhance an employee-oriented company culture which emphasizes continuous improvement, and quality performance. 

  • Recognizes the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.

  • Dedicationto using a tactful and constructive approach in your commitment to coaching team members.

  • Commitment to working as a collaborative team member.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Sound written and oral communication skills, problem-solving and critical thinkingskills, especially as applied to meeting both customer and operational needs.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and CRM software.

Preferred Skills/Abilities/Experience:


  • Existing client relationships within the assigned geography.

  • Membership in local insurance related associations/organizations.

Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience
