Due to continued expansion, we have created a new position for a Junior Legal Counsel / Legal Assistant to join our remote team in Philippines.
Responsibilities
- Handle compliance of corporate maintenance requirements, including when necessary, assisting with corporate secretarial duties
- Monitor and streamline the contract management process of the organization
- Provide advice and legal support on a variety of legal/regulatory issues
- Review and draft licensing, development, and partnership contracts
- Identify, analyze, and communicate regulatory risks across the business
- Supervise outside counsel as required
- Assist the Legal Counsel and Head of Legal as needed
Requirements
- Member of the Philippine Bar (new Bar passers are welcome to apply) or Holder of a degree in law from an accredited university (LL.B or J.D.)
- Previous experience with contract review and drafting is preferred
- Previous experience with corporate maintenance, drafting of Board Meeting Minutes, and corporate housekeeping is preferred
- Interest or previous experience with the payment systems/Fintech industry is an advantage
- Ability to handle corporate and commercial issues in a global environment
