Packer Helper - Hilo
Royal Hawaiian Movers has immediate openings for highly motivated Packer Helpers to join our Hilo location. We are a dynamic company with over 30 years of experience and locations on all the major Hawaiian Islands, and plenty of future growth opportunities. We are looking career minded individuals to join our company to help us today and grow with us in the future.The Packer Helper will load and unload household goods, personal effects, products, parts, materials, crates, boxes, pallet of freight or commodities in and out of containers, warehouse, storage unit, jobsite, and customer homes.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Compensation: $18.00 per hours
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate professionally with customers and co-workers
- Pack/wrap household goods safely and securely
- Unload/unpack household goods and place into residence at customer request
- Ability to use all moving equipment safely
- Adhere/follow all company safety practices, policies, and procedures
- Report all damages and/or injuries in a timely manner
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Read, understand, follow, and enforce safety protocols
- Foster a cooperative work environment
- Follow routine verbal and written instructions
- Give and receive verbal instructions
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma and Equivalent
- Previous transportation experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Heavy lifting, pushing or pulling required of objects over 75 pounds
- Respond quickly to sounds
- Move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- See and respond to situations
- Work in varying temperature
- Stand, walk, crouch, bend or kneel
