Job Description:


The Training & Development Specialist will report to the Director of Training & Development and is a member of the Training & Quality Assurance department and will be responsible to conduct company training programs and monitor effectiveness of the training delivered. 

Responsibilities:


  • Delivers new employee training and job-specific training courses.
  • Reports on progress of individual employees under guidance during training periods.
  • Evaluates program results and prepares training status reports.
  • Maintains inventory of training materials.
  • Develop clear learning objectives and goals.
  • Design training materials, presentations, manuals, and resources.
  • Select appropriate training methods (e.g., workshops, e-learning, hands-on training).
  • Adapt delivery methods to accommodate varying learning styles.
  • Comprehension of facilitator scorecards and KPI’s to measure effectiveness and understand learner bell-curve
  • Make suggestions and assist in the updates and additions of department policies and procedures.
  • Delivers personal training to representatives through side-by-side coaching, monitors, and goal setting.
  • Confer with management, supervisors, and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies.
  • Work in coordination with management to identify ways to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of all current training programs.
  • Develop course materials and formulate teaching outlines and instructional methods.
  • Select teaching aids such as training handbooks, games, demonstration models, and multimedia aids.
  • Select or develop testing and evaluation procedures to be used at completion of training.
  • Assist and mentor employees with “how to” questions related specifically to their work duties.
  • Regular and punctual attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Other Minimum Requirements


  • 2+ years of experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education.
  • 2 + years of experience in Learning and Development Facilitation, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education
  • Clear understanding of Kirkpatrick Model
  • Experience with exploratory learning and blended learning environments
  • Experience and knowledge in adult learning theory and learning styles
  • Experience with ADDIE model

  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form
  • Ability to work well across multiple departments
  • Experience working in the loan servicing, collections, consumer operations or finance industry.
  • Ability to interact comfortably on the phone and in person at the executive level.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Organized individual who excels at problem solving and multi-tasking.
  • Energetic self-starter with a track record of determination and willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Adaptable and willing to learn new things with a keen eye for detail.
