Focused on driving innovation and helping our customers define and deliver their own unique vision for the Edge, at any scale, in any market worldwide, for any requirement, we are building tomorrow’s data center infrastructure, today for some of the world’s most demanding Network, Content, and Cloud customers.The Critical Systems Coordinator will be responsible for managing the process of scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance with all critical systems vendors that are contracted to support our data centers.
This includes working directly with our vendors as well as the data center operations managers and directors. The
Critical Systems Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance plans for all data centers and should be able to bring together all the resources needed to complete maintenance tasks including assembling and coordinating information, people, materials, and equipment necessary to get the job done. Responsibilities will also include scheduling preventative maintenance by clarifying information and doing research into the industry best practices. The Critical Systems Coordinator will help support facilities by investigating possible causes of an event and investigate any recurring issues. Lastly, the Critical Systems Coordinator will be accountable for responding to maintenance request emails, scheduling repairs and dispatching maintenance crew, and entering and closing CMMS work orders.
This position reports to the Critical Systems Manager.
Primary Responsibilities
- Use CMMS to schedule and track preventative or corrective maintenance
- Create and edit maintenance plans accordingly with moratorium periods
- Utilize systems/tools provided to manage and monitor customer, vendor, and PM/MOP tickets
- Manage vendor relationships and conduct training
- Update all equipment and systems in CMMS
- Write and maintain Method of Procedures (MOP) supporting preventive and corrective maintenance
- Work with and manage internal stakeholders and external clients
- Perform additional duties while adhering to processes, policies, and standards
- Create and provide documentation as needed by Management
- Availability to work additional hours as needed
- Travel as needed for training
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Willingness to communicate and work in a team environment while maintaining the ability to be self-driven
- Understand and ability to implement industry best practices, techniques, and standards efficiently
- Strong knowledge and understanding of critical environments
- Specific knowledge of Data Center systems and equipment - UPS, Chillers, HVAC, Archibus software or equivalent CMMS
- Proficient knowledge of Windows operating system and Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with track record of getting things done
- Ability to work in an environment that operates 24/7 with an ability to participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and/or work in elevated locations
- Ability to learn quickly and address issues as they arise on all shifts
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in parallel
- Ability to maintain and expand vendor relationships when needed
Experience/Education
- 5+ years of professional experience working in mission-critical environments
- 1+ years working as an Engineering, Coordinator, or Project Manager within a Data Center environment
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- Candidates holding a certification or structure and authorized training related to Data Centers, or Project Management fields are highly encouraged to apply
