Our Role


As a Staff Engineer on our Performance team, you will focus on enhancing Ada’s Reasoning Engine, a core product enabling sophisticated AI-driven customer interactions. You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including product managers, to execute Ada’s roadmap, ensuring the Reasoning Engine is performant, scalable, and reliable.Your primary goal will be to architect the Reasoning Engine's ability to deliver best-in-class automated experiences, empowering internal developers and external partners to leverage Ada’s platform efficiently.

You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing features that support large-scale reasoning tasks, ensuring Ada's platform meets the demands of modern generative AI systems.

About You


  • 7+ years of backend/full-stack development experience through the entire software lifecycle
  • Proven expertise in building and scaling large-scale distributed systems
  • Practical experience deploying generative AI models and systems in production
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based distributed system architectures and related technologies
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs for external developers
  • A passion for efficiency, with excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated success mentoring and providing technical leadership to engineering teams

  • Deliver on Ada’s product roadmap by driving long-term technical planning and exploration for the Reasoning Engine
  • Drive discussion on scaling and reliability challenges, implementing cutting-edge solutions to enhance the Reasoning Engine’s performance
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, recommending and implementing improvements to current development practices
  • Mentor and coach the team on technical and process best practices to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement

The expected salary range for this position is $152,000 to $210,000. Actual pay will be determined based on several factors such as past experience and qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.#LI-NS1
