YOUR TEAM
Nuna Engineering builds technology to enable users (from data scientists to analysts to policy-makers) to understand healthcare data while ensuring its integrity, security and privacy. Our work runs the gamut from joining streams of messy real-world data to building data warehouses to constructing visualizations and dashboards that provide actionable insight. YOUR OPPORTUNITIES
- Drive technical strategy and architecture across Nuna’s platform partnering with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders across different project teams to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions along the way. Communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive environment where engineers can learn, grow, and excel, leading by example and cultivating a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and mentorship.
- Facilitate cross-team communication and knowledge transfer offering r technical leadership and architectural direction to multiple project teams, ensuring alignment with Nuna's overall technical strategy.
- Establish and maintain high engineering standards, ensuring robust testing methodologies, adherence to security best practices, and adoption of modern software development practices and tools.
- Guide the development of scalable and robust solutions that meet the evolving needs of Nuna's growing platforms. QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 10+ years of experience in software development with a focus on backend engineering, API design, and system architecture
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, or similar languages
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies
- Experience working in a consumer product company or similar fast-paced environment is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The expected salary range for this position is $223,000 to $273,250.
