YOUR IMPACTTo meet our ambition, we must push distributed systems beyond what people consider possible!As an experienced (Staff / Principal / Lead) Infrastructure Engineer, you will design, deploy, and automate the foundational infrastructure that supports our cloud storage platform. This role focuses on end-to-end provisioning of physical and virtual infrastructure, from server and network configuration to operating system deployment.
You will play a vital role in enabling both Day 1 (initial setup) and Day 2 (ongoing operations) activities, ensuring our systems are scalable, automated, and highly available.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
- Provision, deploy, and configure physical servers and networking components to support cloud infrastructure.
- Design and implement efficient networking solutions with a focus on latency, throughput, and overall network performance optimization.
- Configure and optimize bare-metal servers as well as hypervisors and management of virtual machines (VMs) across diverse hardware providers (HPs).
- Collaborate with hardware providers to align on system design and integration requirements.
- Automate the provisioning, scaling, and maintenance of hardware infrastructure to ensure rapid and seamless expansion.
- Consult on and contribute to the design of a cloud-like ecosystem, providing technical guidance on infrastructure strategy.
YOU COULD BE A GREAT FIT FOR THE ROLE IF YOU HAVE
- In-depth knowledge of Linux systems, including customization, scripting, and system optimization.
- Proficiency in L2/L3 networking concepts, including redundancy and load-balancing, and experience with performance optimization (latency, throughput).
- Familiarity with IPMI, iDRAC, and other hardware management tools.
- Strong scripting skills with Shell, Bash, or similar languages.
- Experience with hypervisors (e.g., KVM) and managing virtual machines (VMs) at scale.

- Experience with Kubernetes deployment and operation.
- Knowledge of hardware supply chain, vendor management, and capacity planning.
