Job Objectives:


Provides high standard quality care to patients according to established Policies, Procedures and Standards of Medical Practice keeping within cultural and social principles of the Kingdom. Competently perform the necessary technical, invasive and physical aspects of care.

Tasks and Responsibilities:



  • Diagnose and treat eye diseases.


  • Manage outpatient eye clinics.


  • Treat medical disorders that affect the vision through comprehensive approach.


  • Perform routine care such as: vision testing and prescribe the right fit eye glasses.


  • Repair traumatic injuries of the eye and other related surgeries.


  • Provide patient care by conducting all services in accordance with established protocols and standards.


  • Works as a part of multidisciplinary team and collaborates with subspecialist to provide optimal patient care.


  • Guaranteed to All patients receive an accurate diagnosis and appropriate documentation to ensure all vision life style needs.


  • Document proper patient medical.


  • Perform and participate in the improvement priorities and in quality studies.


  • Evaluate and document patient’s medical history.


  • Execute, order or explain the results of diagnostic or clinical tests.

  • Responsible in prescribing eye medications and monitor the side effects and adverse reactions.

  • Responsible in initiating consultation request to sub-specialist (cornea, retina, strabismus, pediatric, neurophthalmology and plastic surgery).

  • Provides high quality patient care in all aspects of Ophthalmic Surgery according to his/her approved clinical privileges.

  • Ensures appropriate patient preparation for procedures / surgery and performs procedures / surgery as indicated in the signed clinical privilege form.

  • Responsible in performing all duties and responsibilities as approved by the Medical director.

  • Examines post-operative patient, with care and provide advice by educational lecture to patients and families as needed.

  • Provides planned treatment for chronic cases such as, but not limited to glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, uveitis etc.

  • Does therapeutic procedure depending on specialty, such as laser therapy and intraocular injections.

  • Competencies & Skills



    • Working knowledge of Microsoft software applications

    • Working knowledge of C.B.A.H.I. standards.

    • Orientation on Ministry of Health Bylaw

    Education



    • Requires a Medical Degree with Board Certification in Ophthalmic Field.

    • Valid registration and classification in Saudi Commission for Health Specialties

    Work Experience


    Minimum of five years (5) experiences in one of the countries (United States, Britain, Australia, and Spain)
