Position Overview: 


As the Production Manager for Women's Apparel, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the production process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products that align with the brand's design vision and financial targets. Collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners, you will build and maintain production plans, monitor progress, and drive continuous improvement in the inbound supply chain.

Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Build and maintain seasonal production plans and line sheets to align with the Women's design assortment.
  • Set up style numbers and color codes for efficient tracking and management.
  • Monitor and track the status of fabric, prototype, and Pre-Production Sample (PPS) approvals to ensure adherence to timelines.
  • Drive adherence to Product Development Calendar milestones and Open-to-Buy (OTB) deadlines for production.
  • Place orders for Salesman Samples (SMS) and fabric swatches to ensure completion before internal sales meetings and market appointments.
  • Compile, analyze, and negotiate factory costing to meet or exceed financial targets.
  • Partner with the Planning team on seasonal buys and issue Purchase Orders to vendors for all stock goods.
  • Lead weekly Work in Progress (WIP) calls with internal partners and external factories to address issues and drive resolution.
  • Maintain current production status, including ex-factory and Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) dates, within the internal production plan and ERP system.
  • Continuously work to reduce lead times and improve the speed and agility of the inbound supply chain.

Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising, supply chain management, or a related field.

Experience & Skills Requirements:


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management, preferably in Women's apparel or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, garment construction, and manufacturing principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems for production planning and tracking.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Proven ability to analyze data, negotiate with vendors, and drive process improvements.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality control. Other:
