Plant Administrator - Glass Recycling Company

Responsibilities

• Manage office team
• Payroll & HR: Process payroll weekly, hire new employees, & complete paperwork
• Accounts payable: approve and process payables, process & mail AP checks
• Accounts receivable: deposit checks weekly, send & receive wire transfer request, run aging reports & collections
•  Purchasing: order office supplies, arrange trucks for incoming products, offshore purchasing to China
• Inventory: Update inventory daily and count inventory every quarter
• Update sales lists
•  Assist with the day-to-day office operations: take orders, answer phone calls, help walk-in's people, make credits for returns
• Handle shipping duties when needed
• Process credit cards, petty cash, and make adjustment to inventory counts
• Update and add funds to postage machine
• Assist in solving problems in the department
• Work with IT department to update websites
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years proven experience as a Plant Administrator, Office Manager or relevant role
• High school diploma, some college courses
• Accounting skills required
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
• Management experience in programs and processes
• Excellent team building skills, coaching, training employees
• Familiarity with office equipment, including printers and fax machines
• Experience with office management tools (MS Office software, in particular)
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Problem-solving attitude
