What you’ll do
As a Senior Backend Engineer focused on AI, you will design and develop backend systems that support AI-powered functionalities. Working closely with a collaborative team, your primary responsibility will be to build and maintain backend infrastructure that enables high-performance AI solutions.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve AI-powered backend applications.
- Implement backend systems in Java that support cloud-based AI solutions, with a focus on performance and scalability.
- Participate in technical design, code reviews, and agile development activities.
- Contribute to ongoing technical design and architecture discussions.
- Mentor and provide guidance on AI best practices to team members across the organization.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Software Developers, and DevOps engineers.
What you’ll need
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with Python.
- Solid understanding of AI technologies and architectures, such as Transformer models and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).
- Experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus) and Parameter Efficient Fine Tuning (PEFT).
- Familiarity with orchestration frameworks for AI (LangChain, LlamaIndex) is a plus.
- Working knowledge of cloud environments (AWS or Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.
- A good understanding of CI/CD processes and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) is a plus.
- Proficiency with Java is a plus.
- Excellent command of the English language
