Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Controller to oversee the accounting and financial operations of our organization. This leadership role will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and the implementation of best practices to support the company’s growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, extensive management experience, and a commitment to operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:1.Financial Management:oOversee all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting.oPrepare and present timely, accurate financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.2.Budgeting and Forecasting:oLead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.oMonitor and analyze financial performance against budget, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.3.Compliance and Risk Management:oEnsure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, tax requirements, and company policies.oMaintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.4.Leadership and Team Development:oManage, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting and finance team.oFoster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability within the department.5.Strategic Planning:oProvide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.oCollaborate with other departments to align financial goals with organizational objectives.6.Process Improvement:oIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.oLeverage technology and automation to optimize workflows and reporting.7.Audit and Reporting:oCoordinate with external auditors and ensure the timely completion of annual audits.oManage the preparation and submission of regulatory filings, including tax returns and financial disclosures.
Qualifications:
1.Education:oBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.oMaster of Business Administration (MBA) or advanced degree is strongly preferred.2.Experience:oA minimum of 15 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 7 years in a leadership or management role.oDemonstrated expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.3.Certifications:oCPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.4.Skills and Competencies:oStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.oProven ability to lead and develop teams, manage complex projects, and drive organizational change.oExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.oAdvanced proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.oStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.5.Other Requirements:oAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving priorities.oHigh level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.oMust be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.oMust be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
