Geometric Solutions is actively seeking an Applications Engineer to join our team! This position offers the option to work in a hybrid model, commuting to our Troy office, or 100% remote for candidates who are not local.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support to the sales team and customers throughout the sales process, ensuring a thorough understanding of customer needs and how our solutions can meet them.
- Develop and deliver engaging product demonstrations tailored to customer requirements, showcasing the capabilities and benefits of our solutions.
- Design and conduct comprehensive training sessions for customers and internal teams, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and skill development.
- Prepare detailed proposals and accurately estimate the time and resources required for project completion, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and project goals.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers by writing detailed reports, communicating results, addressing issues, and providing actionable recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction and project success.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Teamcenter implementation, ensuring efficient management of product lifecycle data and processes is required
- Proven experience as a Teamcenter Systems Administrator, including installation, configuration, and workflow creation, with familiarity in both the Rich Client and Active Workspace.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and provide exceptional customer support, ensuring successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- A deep understanding of the design and manufacturing processes, enabling effective communication and problem-solving with customers and internal teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM software, facilitating effective communication with customers and internal teams regarding design and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear and effective interaction with customers, team members, and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in solving problems within a manufacturing plant setting, demonstrating practical knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with Siemens products such as NX, Teamcenter, and Tecnomatix (Process Designer, Process Simulate, Plant Simulation, and VSA) enhances the ability to provide expert support and solutions.
- Knowledge of discrete event simulation techniques, enabling effective analysis and optimization of manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of robotic systems and automation, facilitating effective integration and support of advanced manufacturing technologies.
