Senior Software Engineer
Join Bestgate Engineering, where we deliver cutting-edge solutions for national security and enterprise innovation.We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer to install, configure, and optimize COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, libraries, and packages for a large HPC Linux computing environment. This role also involves software development and supporting a data storage solution for the High Performance Computing Organization.
Required Skills:
- 7 + years of experience as a Software Engineer, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Experience developing and maintaining scripts using Bash/Python and programming in Python and Java within a Linux environment.
- Proficiency with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI.
- Expertise in installing, configuring, and supporting COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, libraries, and packages (e.g., Spark, Arkouda).
- Experience using system monitoring tools like Grafana/Prometheus and Git version control systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field is preferred. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in engineering will be considered.
- Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/Poly
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence).*Salary Range: $165,000 - $210,000
