Essential Functions
The MAGTF Training Command (MAGTFTC) mission is to Manage the Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Program (MAGTFTP) and conduct service level Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) combined arms training to enhance the combat readiness of the operating forces and support the Marine Corps’ responsibilities to national security.
- Determine processes and procedures to satisfy the Program Assessment Director’s Critical Information Requirements.
- Assist Assessment Team Lead in the design of assessment activities that assist with measuring the training units’ ability to achieve proficiency in commander-identified METs.
- Assist Assessment Team Lead in data analysis and interpretation to provide recommendations to the training unit staffs and MAGTFTC Staff.
- Determine the most effective means of meeting data collection and reporting obligations.
- Conduct information and knowledge assessments to identify gaps.
- Assist the Assessment Team Lead in the coordination of MAGTF Training SME travel,
- attendance, logistics, support, and collection of observations ISO ITX FoF training.
- Develop Ground Combat Element (GCE) Training and Readiness (T&R) individual and collective tasks; prepare briefings and status reports on doctrinal products being researched and developed as needed.
- Review, analyze, and provide comments and recommendations on GCE T&R relating to proposed GCE operations doctrine, organizational changes, and new concepts forwarded for review by MCCDC, PP&O, TECOM, or other GCE advocates.
- Participate in conferences, T&R reviews, METL development and doctrinal exchanges as required to include but not limited to:
- in-progress reviews, decision briefings, doctrine review committees and doctrine conferences hosted by other service schools, higher headquarters, and other services and agencies.
- present briefings to officials on emerging and published T&R concepts and materials.
- prepare briefing materials, doctrinal summaries and status reports throughout the doctrine development process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Skills/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, computer science, operations research, management information science, or related field and experience in telecommunications, data processing, or information technology is desired.
- Must have experience with database management systems and structures.
- Must possess thorough knowledge of the Microsoft office suite, online collaborative tools, social networking tools, and content management systems.
- Must possess knowledge of military doctrine, tactics, and command relationships at MAGTF or joint/combined command level as measured by actual operational force employment experience is required, and direct participation in real world operations is preferred. Direct participation in real world operations in deployment and employment command and control methods and systems for the GCE is desired.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in USMC organizational processes at the regimental/base level or above to include a thorough understanding of functional roles and responsibilities of staff areas.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in USMC, joint, and multinational operations at the tactical and operational levels of war.
- Must possess familiarity with Marine Corps doctrine and contemporary strategic, operational, and tactical operations that govern MAGTF operations and processes and possess a working knowledge of information and knowledge management concepts and practices.
- Must have expert knowledge of the roles and missions of various types of USMC forces/capabilities (including reserve component), their employment, and how they contribute to USMC operations.
- Must have an understanding of USMC warfighting doctrine, warfighting functions, commander and staff operations, and Marine Corps procedures and responsibilities across all levels of war.
