Position Overview:


Precise is looking for an experienced executive to lead the company’s Federal Civilian Business Group. This position is remote with occasional on site office visits.  Candidates required to be in the MD/DC/VA area.


Key Responsibilities:


Corporate Responsibilities


  • Provide executive leadership and oversight to the company’s Federal Civilian Business Group.
  • Drive company growth in the company’s Federal Civilian program area, maintaining an extensive network of connections that can be tapped for new business outreach, issue expertise, etc.
  • Assume accountability for profit and loss for all programs under the Federal Civilian Business Group.
  • Expand the Business Unit through organic growth and new growth initiatives.
  • Work closely with business development team to improve company business development processes and maturity.
  • Define/model/promote company culture.
  • Lead, develop and coach employees and teams to preserve company culture and optimize program performance.
  • Ensure corporate stewardship.
  • Drive corporate strategy.
  • Identify/mitigate corporate risk.

Project Responsibilities


  • Lead Account Directors/Program Managers overseeing program delivery across multiple accounts simultaneously (e.g., schedule, cost, quality, risk management/escalation)
  • Develop, enhance, and monitor customer relations.
  • Ensure effective management of all program processes and sound oversight of all program budgets.
  • Ensure project profitability.
  • Oversee development of program staffing plans, including skill and labor mix, to support contract operations.
  • Assists in proposal process and coordinates with Pricing Department, when required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 20+ years of professional experience; or 15 years of professional experience with a related Masters’ degree. Must have demonstrated extensive educational concentration in the fields described above and extensive demonstrated experience of which at least 2/3 is specialized experience.
  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience required.  
  • 5+ years of Federal Civilian delivery experience required.  
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of government proposal processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated clear written and verbal communication and attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Position will be primarily remote with occasional days in MD office; require candidates in the MD/DC/VA area.
  • Extensive experience in software development lifecycle from inception to deployment.
  • Expertise in the management and control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing multi-task contracts and/or subcontracts of various types and complexity.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience conducting presentations for large groups of stakeholders.
  • Increasing responsibilities in information systems design and/or management.
