JOB SUMMARY:
To promote the mission of PATH to help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by being an effective team member and by providing individual and group therapy utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, recovery principles and other interventions approved by supervisor in a trauma informed and culturally sensitive manner.
QUALIFCATIONS:
- Masters Degree in Human Services
- Experience in working with individuals who have a mental illness and/or co-occurring issues
- Active Driver's License required
- Good organizational skills
- COVID-19 Vaccination, or willingness to receive vaccine required
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Provide direct treatment in individual, couples, family and group therapy
- Maintain individual caseload under supervision of program manager
- Ensure that delivery of clinical treatment is congruent with models and practices listed in job summary
- Evaluate and assess the needs of assigned individuals
- Collect all pertinent information including demographic history, history of presenting problem, family background, testing evaluations, medical evaluation, etc. as indicated for ongoing treatment.
- Be familiar with the Boston University Approach to Psychiatric Rehabilitation and address in therapy as appropriate
- Actively engage individuals in treatment including the provision of outreach
- Complete bio-psychosocial evaluations as assigned
- Plan and implement topic focused group therapy as determined by the Stakeholder Committee
- Be flexible in scheduling appointments to meet the individuals’ needs
- Consult and collaborate with all team members including psychiatrist on a regular basis
- Complete discharge documentation in a timely fashion
- Take appropriate action during a medical incident with a Renaissance participant including calling 911 in the community, at site or when a participant is calling you from an alternate location
- Maintain performance expectations regarding productivity
