Full-timeDescriptionYou will be a key member of our supporting the various activities related to database development and administration tasks. You will need to have experience working with Oracle, MySQL, and other relational database technologies. Your experience should include working within an agile development team using Oracle/SQL tools and experience supporting databases in AWS RDS and Cloud environments. Ability to work well independently as well as within a team environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Accountable for the support and development of database solutions within our Enterprise applications and the development of Oracle or MySQL stored procedures, triggers, etc.
- Develops/improves database standards to provide optimum maintenance and consistency across applications
- Research technical problems, analyze business requirements, evaluate alternative design approaches, and design technical processes to meet business requirements
- Participates in project and team meetings - interacting and collaborating with team members, other development teams, and stakeholders as needed
- Estimate and document required work effort to develop, test, and implement new technical processes/changes
- Create and edit technical documentation of implementation activities
- Provides technical support and mentoring to other team members in order to foster professional development
Requirements
- Bachelor degree - preferable in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Math/Physics (Computer Sc. stream) or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience as a DBA (Oracle/SQL) or developer with extensive database experience, providing systems analysis and programming
- Experience with web-based client applications and enterprise deployment strategies
- Experience documenting databases schemas and troubleshooting SQL code and design

- Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Quality Assurance (QA) requirements
- Experience with coding languages and technologies, e.g., ASP. Net and Core, Entity Framework, C#.NET, JavaScript REST API, PL/SQL, Oracle DB, GIT
- Experience in Agile methodology
- Development using PL/SQL including stored procedures, packages, and external scripting
- Experience working with clients or in a team-based environment and working under pressure/time constraints

- The salary for this position is $65,000 - $100,000 annually
