Wisk’s internship experience is a 12 week, hands-on program. Our goal for our internship program is to see what it’s like to be a full time Wisk employee and complete meaningful work.We are looking for a Systems Test Intern to join our Systems Test team and support the design, assembly, and commissioning of test assets used for development and verification testing of Wisk’s Gen 6 battery, propulsion and avionics systems.
Responsibilities:
- Support the mechanical and electrical design, procurement, manufacturing and assembly of test fixtures and harnesses
- Integrate flight hardware and commission test fixtures
- Collaborate with test engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and automate test assets
- Get familiar with the architecture of our test assets, aircraft subsystems, and team processes
Requirements:
- Must be currently pursuing a bachelors, masters or PhD degree with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027
- Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or a relevant engineering degree)
- Experience turning conceptual designs into physical parts/assemblies
- Experience with creating parts, assemblies, and engineering drawings with CAD software such as NX (preferred) or Solidworks
- Extensive hands-on experience with rapid prototyping and/or machine shop tools
Hourly rate will be $25 USD an hour.This internship role will be based at Wisk's office in Fremont, California and relocation or housing will not be provided.
