Team Carney is seeking a Director of Business Development and Capture with experience in the federal sector. Ideal candidates will be thoroughly familiar with the federal government procurement process and possess a proven track record of closing new business

Responsibilities:


  • Prospect for new opportunities.
  • Develops a pipeline of new business opportunities for assigned accounts and leads the capture effort for identified opportunities.
  • Develop successful capture plans.
  • Oversee opportunity pursuit from qualification through award.
  • Ensures disciplined capture and business development process implemented and followed.
  • Nurture strategic partnerships across industry.
  • Responsible for proposal development team high quality proposals

Required Skills:


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with management of complex capture efforts for prime federal contracts.
  • Knowledge of various contract vehicles, schedules, BPAs, OTAs, SBIRs/STTRs, IDIQs, etc.
  • Must have demonstrated experience leading prime captures of single award contracts
  • Established track record of winning work both at the task and contract levels
  • Candidate must have experience and be comfortable supporting all phases of acquisition from initial marketing and communication planning, to proposal development and submittal.
  • Broad experience working inside the DoD with emphasis on Training, Human Capital and Cyber/IT
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills are required
  • Self-motivated, independent thinker who requires minimum supervision.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel on an as-needed basis.
  • U.S Citizenship is required. Individuals may also be subject to a background investigation.
