Description
Responsible for managing the field production operations of BWE Asset; Responsible for coordinating field development with the project team and the FPSO operations; Responsible for managing the Production performance and the crude oil lifting operations; Responsible for preparing and controlling the operating budgets with an eye on the FPSO Variation Orders; Responsible for ensuring all tasks carried out by staff and contractors comply with HSE requirements; Responsible for ensuring compliance with Company and environmental regulations and targets; Coordinate the crude oil Liftings; Liaison with local contractors; Coordinate with DGH to conduct Danger study; Coordinate with DGH and DGE to conduct EIA; Analyze, interpret and optimize individual well performance; Employ various production surveillance techniques to monitor well productivity on a daily basis; Work with field operations staff to insure production goals and cost controls are met; In conjunction with Reservoir Engineers and Geologists, determine the most efficient means to develop the well/field considering crude oil characteristics, type of reservoir and the project economics; Identify wells for production enhancements; Maximize the daily production and ultimate recoveries of producing properties through optimal operational procedures; Monitors multiple field operations including workovers, production, associated facilitiesDetermines which wells need production enhancement and recommends procedures or processes to maintain or increase production;Responsible for the evaluation, development, and implementation of short and long-term production plans and forecasts of wells and fields, and for maintaining required safety training and compliance; Helps in providing procedures and oversight for workovers, artificial lift, optimization, intervention, and other work needed on existing wells and infrastructure; Knowledgeable in nodal analysis and fluid flow in reservoirs and wellbores as well as PVT (pressure, volume, temperature) analysis of reservoir fluids; Awareness of pressure and rate transient analysis; Coordinate with all phases of drilling, completion and production operations throughout the life cycle of a wellbore; Work closely with management to meet financial, production and other corporate goals;Coordinate with DGH, and other relevant government agencies like DGE;Advising managerial, technical and engineering staff on production operations and optimizing efforts to increase oil recovery; Key member of the Area Asset Team; Works in a collaborative environment with the Production engineer, the company men offshore and the Houston Engineering team and the fleet manager of the FPSO.
Requirements
Bachelor’s in Petroleum engineering or related discipline Relevant experience may compensate formal education Ideally 15 or more years of production and operations experience in GabonIdeally experience from offshore and/ FPSO industry Preferably previous experience from working in a multicultural environmentAbility to function independently and in a team.Good interpersonal skills as well as good judgement Excellent spoken and written communication skills. Ability to communicate at all levels Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications as Excel and Word Knowledge of a multitude of engineering tools including economic evaluation, and production engineering.Fluent in English (oral and written) Fluent in French (oral and written)
