• Assist a mechanic / technician in servicing and repair machines and / or components to OEM standards and customer requirements while maintaining an orderly and safe workplace.• Assist the mechanic(s) in performing moderate to complex maintenance and repair work on machines and / or components• Know which tools are used for which jobs and ensure the mechanic / technician has them within reach• Clean and maintain facilities and equipment• Assist artisan to obtain and check parts for jobs• Maintain a safe and orderly workplace

• Minimum Grade GG12/Matric • Ability to obtain certification as forklift operator within 90 days of appointment• Ability to obtain certification as overhead / jib crane operator within 90 days of appointment• Ability to follow instructions under supervision• Drivers licence – Code B will be an added advantage• Verbal comprehension, Physical resilience • Aiming (hand-eye coordination)
