As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a Substance Abuse Treatment Facility, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals on their journey to recovery from substance abuse.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Conduct regular medication audits and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Monitor and document clients' response to medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to adjust medication plans as needed.
- Educate clients on medication usage and potential side effects.
- Maintain a safe and secure medication storage area.
- Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), required.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a substance abuse treatment facility is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
