This job is onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD with 1-2 days/week remote as project tasking allows.Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph is required.


We have an immediate need for a DevOps Engineer to focus on DevOps engineering of an expanding collaboration workflow platform that combines COTS, open-source, and custom microservices. Responsibilities will include deploying applications; installing and configuring complex software; managing servers, networks, and technology tools; monitoring and maintaining the system for required levels of security and performance; and troubleshooting issues and outages.*Candidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support as required (roughly one week out of every 6-8 weeks).

Staff may charge 4 additional hours for the week they are on call in addition to hours worked.

Required technical skills include experience with:


  • Linux
  • AWS, MASH, and VMs
  • Relational Databases (Amazon RDS, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL)
  • Networking, Firewalls, and Load Balancers
  • Terraform scripting and VM provisioning
  • Deployments of distributed web applications
  • Docker, Docker Compose container technology
  • Docker Swarm
  • Public Key Infrastructure

Desired technical skills include experience with:


  • eVo, CoDE, and UWE environments
  • API Gateways
  • Elasticsearch / Logstash / Kibana (ELK) maintenance and configuration
  • Python scripting and development
  • Java / Spring Boot troubleshooting (error logs)
  • Kafka Message Broker
  • Hazelcast Memory Cache
  • Kubernetes
  • Zookeeper
  • Nginx Web Server
  • Ansible scripting
  • Monitoring and Alerting
  • Agile software development practices
  • Jira and Confluence
