Job Description:


We are looking for a Ratings Editor. This pivotal role connects our ratings analysis with our customers and users. They will sit in our editorial team within the wider ratings team, working closely day-to-day with our team of carbon ratings scientists.

Responsibilities:



  • Maintaining and improving written editorial standards of our ratings analysis

  • Updating reports and analysis from early launch

  • Identifying key pieces of analysis and the conclusions our Ratings team are drawing to ensure clear and effective communication to customers (who often are unfamiliar with carbon credits)

  • Copy editing and line-editing reports and other external communications

  • Partnering closely with the Ratings team to ensure the development of clear and accurate writing. This will include:


  • Building an understanding of the project that’s being rated

  • Building a dialogue with analysts to understand their work


  • Helping to develop and execute writing training and best practices for analytical team
  • Business Partner to the wider Ratings team & BeZero business areas.

  • Stakeholders will include; Chief Ratings Officer, Director of Ratings Operations, and interaction with the marketing and research teams.

You will be our ideal candidate if:



  • You are comfortable editing scientific and technical text and distilling complex ideas into approachable copy

  • You have first-rate communication and relationship management skills, with experience using these with stakeholders from various backgrounds

  • You are highly analytical and attentive to detail
