WHAT YOU WILL DO


We seek a landscape designer ready to match our can-do energy and be involved in a wide range of landscape architecture work based out of our Tacoma office. If you enjoy working with a team that values creativity, celebrates successes, and supports each other through challenges, then AHBL is your place! In this role, you will work with the design team to develop conceptual, schematic, and construction documents for public and private sector projects. You will assist with projects from early planning through design and final construction.

Projects include mixed-use, affordable housing, K-12 schools, parks and recreation, and community-based projects.

Here’s our list of must-haves:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture from an accredited university
  • 2+ years of experience working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary firm
  • Experience working on a variety of tasks on multiple projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, LandFX, and Sketchup
  • Exceptional communication with hand-drawn and computer-generated graphics skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Portfolio that demonstrates strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills

Anything on this list would be an asset, but is not required:

  • Experience with Revit, Rhino, Lumion, and Grasshopper

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS


Actual pay will be based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

  • Landscape Designer II - $30.29 - $36.77 per hour
  • Landscape Designer III - $33.65 - $39.97 per hour
  • Annual discretionary performance-based bonus.
  • 100% paid employee medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, life insurance and long-term disability protection. Subsidized dependent coverage.
  • Option of PPO health plan or HDHP with Health Savings Account (HSA) with company contribution.
  • Optional Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) Benefits. PTO is accrued at 16.5 days (132 hours) annually for new hires.
  • 8 company-paid holidays each calendar year.
