This team member will utilize effective communication and negotiation skills to ensure timely payments while maintaining positive relationships with clients. As a Credit and Collections Specialist, you will play a crucial role in recovering outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with our customers. Maintain the department’s credit database and customer credit files.
- Full File credit bureau filing
- excellent negotiation skills
- Proven experience in the commercial credit and collection space
- Proven knowledge of billing and collection concepts/procedures (e.g., claim filings)
- Experience with computer software, including MS Office programs
- handle inbound and outbound collection calls to resolve past due balances
- Leverage defined collection strategies to meet/improve critical collection metrics by following policies, and procedures, to minimize losses through proper account management
- Research and answer (timely) customer inquiries on topics like billing, payments, and disputes
- Maintain complete, accurate and up to date customer credit files, information, and status
- This position requires a substantial knowledge of the collections industry, rules and regulations, litigation process and transacts the general business of the Collections Department subject to general supervision
- strong understanding of financial concepts, and experience in debt collection or related fields Developing and analyzing account reports.

- Qualifications: -3-5 years' experience in AR and or credit and collections
