We are seeking a driven Engineering Manager to join our team and lead the development of our products and platform. As the first manager on the Engineering team, you will work closely with our CTO, making key architectural and product decisions, and driving the technical vision and execution of your team.
About You:

Technically Proficient: You have hands-on experience in developing APIs, data modeling, and scaling distributed systems, and can lead by example.

Clear Communicator: You emphasize clear communication, documented planning, and regular, transparent feedback.
You Will:
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of high-performing engineers.
Architect and oversee the development of applications, APIs, and distributed systems.
Own architectural decisions for the tech platform, advising on key product and infrastructure strategies.
Be hands-on with the codebase 50-70% of the time, providing technical guidance and support.
Develop and maintain analytics, monitoring, and logging infrastructure to improve user experience and system health.
Collaborate across Product, Design, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to deliver a top-notch service and product experience.
Contribute in many other ways to our agile founding team, building the future of flexible light industrial staffing.
You Have:
7+ years of software engineering experience building scalable solutions, with 1+ year managing high-performing teams
Experience with distributed systems, API design, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, GCP, or equivalent technologies.
Strong communication and analytical skills to drive impactful decisions.
Experience working in a fast-paced, early-stage environment, with the ability to thrive amid ambiguity.

Salary Range Details
The compensation range for this position is set between $170,000 and $200,000, reflecting our market analysis and other relevant considerations. However, exceptions may be made for candidates with qualifications that significantly differ from those outlined in the job description.
