GXM is seeking to hire an experienced and talented Network Engineer with a passion for creating a network that is reliable, secure, and optimized to support business operations. A candidate should have the ability to design, configure, and manage various networking systems to ensure high availability, reliability, and security of the organization’s network infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of both hardware and software architecture, as well as the ability maintain servers, routers, switches, and other network infrastructure.

Additionally, a candidate should be able to provide support for end-users and ensure network security, reliability, minimize downtime, resolve technical issues, and supporting day-to-day operations. 

Duties include but are not limited to


  • Lead the planning, design, and maintenance of connectivity for enterprise network assets to ensure compliance and secure operations on both unclassified and classified networks (SIPR, NIPR, JWICS).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address connectivity requirements and implement necessary configurations. 
  • Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and cloud-based networks.
  • Monitor and manage network performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other network devices.
  • Troubleshoot network issues, including connectivity, performance, and security concerns.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues.
  • Implement necessary configurations to facilitate efficient and secure data transmission, ensuring that all network switches and routers are operational, properly configured, and compliant with customer security requirements (such as DISA STIG).
  • Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, encryption, and antivirus software, to protect systems and data from unauthorized access, malware, and other security threats.
  • Monitor and analyze system and network logs to identify potential security breaches or vulnerabilities.
  • Implement disaster recovery plans and ensure systems are regularly backed up.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff and departments to implement new technology solutions or upgrades.

Requirements

  • MUST BE A US CITIZEN
  • Top Secret SCI CI Poly
  • Must be able to work on-site (FT Meade) 5 days a week
  • DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level-II Certification within 6 months of commencing work
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of experience in an IT related field or similar role
  • Extensive experience in managing classified enterprise networks
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite
  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, or similar issue tracking systems
