Our culture permeates everything we do and this, in turn with a global vision, forms a commitment to each other, our customers, and shareholders alike.The RoleReporting to the Corporate Reporting Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of the group reporting; internal/external reporting including all of the compliance for ASIC and ASX reporting for interim and year-end requirements.

This will include managing group financial reporting, as well as being involved with assessing and refreshing group accounting policy. You will be able to demonstrate strong teamwork skills, initiative and the ability to build and maintain relationships. As a growing business, your ability to work at pace, whilst maintaining high standards is also of paramount importance. This Brisbane-based position will also work closely with peers within the finance team, the CFO as well as external auditors and advisors to work on all aspects of the planning and execution of interim and final group audit, preparation of financial statements, both Group and multiple global subsidiaries, external market releases, and provide technical accounting support.

What you’ll be doing


  • Preparing consolidations for the Megaport Group, ensuring integrity of the financial data within the Group's consolidation reporting system, D365, on a monthly basis
  • Perform eliminations and post-consolidation entries on a monthly basis and for forecasts and budgets
  • Preparation of consolidated financial reports to deliver high-quality information to senior internal/external stakeholders
  • Provide insightful analysis of Megaport Group's financial results
  • Preparation of Board and ASX reporting packs
  • Proactively be involved in developing and maintaining the reporting system, managing and developing changes and enhancements as required
  • Management and consolidation of Corporate entities and dealing with auditors with regard to audit queries
  • Preparation and posting of journals in compliance with IFRS 2 Share-based payment
  • Use of technical accounting expertise to support the Accounting team who prepare the underlying information for the financial reports, and perform a detailed review of the information
  • Drive preparation of Statutory Financial Statements for entities in the global Megaport Group in line with local GAAP requirements
  • Key contact with outsource providers who provide services relating to annual lodgements for the Group’s subsidiaries
  • Support automation of the Corporate Reporting function and the team in working through complex technical accounting issues as they arise

What we are looking for


  • CA or CPA - essential requirement
  • Highly numeric/strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possess 3+ years of post qualification experience in consolidation accounting, ideally from a large entity (private or listed), with international group entities and consolidations
  • Strong technical accounting background in IFRS
  • Track record of ASX reporting would be preferential
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organization skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Office and cloud-based systems
  • Exposure to either/both Workiva and D365 software sets highly desirable
  • Ability to work independently, in confidence, under pressure, and perform several tasks concurrently and meet deadlines
