Senior Specialist Membership Services

What you will be doing:


The senior specialist is the primary resource for members, potential members, field staff, suppliers, and all Premier employees for information concerning Premier’s rostering program and membership account data. The senior specialist strategically manages the member relationship with regards to the receipt, processing, and update of facility data in the Premier Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. In doing so, the senior specialist must coordinate facility information from multiple sources, analyze the unique business needs of each member, and understand the downstream impact of rostering decisions to integrated internal systems.

The specialist should possess critical thinking skills, be adept at analyzing complex and unique situations, be able to devise practical solutions, explore feasible alternatives, and suggest other options as needed to fulfill the requirements of both the member and internal Premier departments. This position must be resourceful in finding solutions to problems, provide timely resolution and a high-level of customer satisfaction. In addition, the Senior Specialist has additional responsibilities outside of rostering support including producing reports and queries on the membership data, driving data quality initiatives, defining requirements for system enhancements, and other responsibilities as assigned and defined by changing business needs.

Key Responsibilities


Roster Management – 70%


  • Manage the receipt and update of incoming facility data

  • Understand the integration of CRM data elements with other internal systems (including, but not limited to Spend Advisor, Supply Chain Advisor, and CAMS) to ensure that any changes minimize the disruptive impact to those systems

  • Ensure that all changes are done within the specified cycle time and data quality requirements

  • Process membership paperwork and determine eligibility options

  • Respond to internal and external requests for information on strategy and approach for new member setup

  • Coordinate and execute new owner additions, demographic changes, terminations, and mergers

  • Support facility rostering needs of Healthcare Informatics

Subject Matter Expert – 10%


  • For all issues related to recruitment of new members as it relates to rostering including best known methods for facility hierarchy and eligibility setup

  • To members, field staff, and all other Premier employees for all rostering issues including facility setup, hierarchy, and eligibility

Data Analysis & Reporting – 10%


  • Maintain standard analytical reports, i.e., new members, compliance

  • Provide ad hoc queries, reports, and analysis to support initiatives such as membership recruitment

  • Monitor and resolve data quality issues within Microsoft Dynamics CRM, the roster, and downstream systems.

Process Improvement – 10%


  • Regularly review membership processes to recommend changes and/or develop new procedures to improve efficiency and data quality

Work Experience:Years of Applicable Experience - 2 or more yearsEducation:High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Jobs are sedentary if movement is required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees.

Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $51,000 - $95,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location.
